Customs and Border Protection published the ISF Interim Final Rule in the Federal Register on November 26, 2008 making the law effective 60 days from the publishing. Effective January 26, 2009 there are 10 data elements that should be transmitted to CBP either via AMS (Automated Manifest System) or ABI (Automated Broker Interface) prior to any import ocean shipment being laden on board the vessel at the port of export in the foreign country. This can be done directly by the importer if they have access or through the importer’s "agent." We at Oceanair are ready to be your agent and process this filing for you. We will work with you to make this happen.

Please contact Oceanair at 10+2questions@oceanair.net and note your company name, contact information, telephone number and email address to receive your login to our ISF Module.
